2027: NDC House of Reps Candidate Bekenawei unveils 7-Point Agenda for Warri Federal Constituency

Chief (Dr.) Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has unveiled a comprehensive seven-point legislative agenda, pledging effective representation, inclusive governance, and sustainable development for the people of Warri Federal Constituency if elected in the 2027 general elections.

Bekenawei made the declaration in his manifesto, where he described himself as "a partner in progress" committed to changing the narrative of representation from unfulfilled promises to measurable and impactful leadership.

The Kokodiagbene Community-born politician from Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area stressed that his ambition is driven by a desire to provide purposeful representation founded on integrity, accountability, and the rule of law.

According to him, “The diverse nature of Warri Federal Constituency requires leadership capable of fostering unity and reducing ethnic tensions while ensuring equitable development across all communities.”

He said his legislative priorities would focus on seven critical areas aimed at improving the living standards of constituents and accelerating socio-economic development.

Bekenawei pledged to promote peace, cohesion, and mutual respect among the various ethnic nationalities in the constituency while attracting meaningful federal development projects.

On legislative accountability, he promised to sponsor people-oriented bills and institutionalise regular town hall meetings to engage constituents, identify their needs, and ensure their concerns are reflected in legislative actions.

The NDC aspirant also assured residents of an inclusive style of leadership through the equitable distribution of constituency projects and democratic dividends across both rural and urban communities.

In the area of healthcare, Bekenawei proposed reforms to improve access to primary healthcare through the introduction of mobile clinics and medical voucher schemes for elderly citizens.

To stimulate economic growth, he pledged to support small and medium-scale enterprises with grants while providing farmers with modern agricultural equipment and other necessary inputs to boost food production.

He further promised to advocate for the rehabilitation of roads, rural electrification, and improved access to clean drinking water as part of his rural infrastructure development agenda.

On education and youth development, Bekenawei said he would prioritise the renovation of schools, provision of educational materials, and establishment of ICT hubs to enhance digital skills acquisition and youth empowerment.

Reaffirming his commitment to transparency and accountability, the aspirant vowed to serve with integrity, compassion, unwavering respect for the rule of law, and promised to maintain an open-door policy that would make him accessible to all constituents, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious affiliations.

Describing representation as both a responsibility and a sacred trust, Bekenawei called on the people of Warri Federal Constituency to support his vision for effective representation and positive change, while he expressed optimism that, through collective effort and purposeful leadership, the constituency would witness accelerated development, greater unity, and improved opportunities for all residents.
