Wednesday, January 7, 2026, which marked the grand finale of the three days Okpele-ama Tebujor Amasuo Ugeh Festival, will forever be remembered as a historic day by the people, reminding us all on the importance of coming together as one united family to appreciate the Almighty God for another New Year and for His blessings in the previous years as well as in the current year.

We are grateful to the Almighty God for the success recorded at the festival. We thank Him for the journey mercies over everyone who attended, for the fair weather, as well as for the availability of resources that ensured the programmes went as planned.

We salute of revered traditional father, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom for his reign which has brought in peace, foster unity, growth and development of the kingdom. Your Majesty, thank you for your prayers, heartfelt sacrifices and preservation of our heritage. We also recognise the laudable roles played by members of the Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs in support of His Majesty.

Our appreciation goes to our foremost leader, High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo; the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, FNSE; the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor for their financial support towards the success.

Our gratitude also goes to all the numerous guests who came from far and near, as well as the various communities chairmen who joined us in the epic celebration. Your honourable presence is duly appreciated once again.

We likewise appreciate the Amadiwei's of Okpeleama Tebujor Community, Chief Tarede Ogah and Chief Ebilowei Tortor, all other stakeholders of the community including the elders, opinion leaders, women and youths for doing the needful to make the festival a huge success.

May the Almighty God who brought us into the New Year preserve our souls and cause us to gather again in this same fashion in the forthcoming year in Jesus name, Amen.
