Dcn. Joseph Tonlagha, chairman of Kenyangbene Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Council of Delta State, has commended the Chairman of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, and CEO of Geecoms Integrated Services Limited, Hon. George Ekpemupolo, for their persistent efforts in developing the grassroots.

The riverine community chairman gave the commendation in a congratulatory birthday message celebrating Maton Boss at 50 and the Geecoms Boss, both of whom marked their birthdays on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Dcn. Tonlagha, who is a brother to the Maton Boss, praised him for his passion for rising up to the infrastructural needs of his immediate Benikrukru Community, as well as investing in the lives of the people through educational initiatives, health schemes, empowerment of men and women, job creation, among sundry others.

He also lauded the contributions of Hon. Ekpemupolo, a former chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council, to the progress of his hometown Okerenkoko Federated Community, as well as across the kingdom.

He noted that one of the things that both celebrants have in common is their passion for humanitarianism, as both have risen up directly and indirectly through collaboration with other stakeholders to impact lives, especially in the area of education, in order to make learning fun and to give pupils and students access to quality education.

"I congratulate my dear golden brothers Mr. Matthew Tonlagha and Hon. George Ekpemupolo as they both celebrate their birthday. But more importantly for me, I want to commend their dedication to the grassroots development of our riverine communities, which is something they both have in common.

"As leaders that they truly are, they remember that there is no place like home. No matter where they go, they always have the development of our communities and kingdom in their hearts.

"I pray that the Almighty God will bless them with long life and prosper the work of their hands always," he prayed.
