The below is a speech presented by Dcn. Joel Ekpebide during the launch of his latest book: 'Understanding Christian Maturity' at the Wetland Event Center along Orhuwhorun Road in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The book launch had in attendance Dr. Amas Aloro JP (who represented the Father of the Day, King of Zion, Rt. Rev. Princewill Jemine JP); Rev. Below is the speech presentation as delivered by the author:

"Ladies and gentlemen, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is my honor to present to you a book that explores the transformative journey of Christian maturity. 'Understanding Christian Maturity: A Journey Towards Christlikeness' is a guide that equips believers with the knowledge and tools necessary to grow in their faith and become more like Christ.

"As we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:13)

"This book is a journey through the key biblical concepts that define Christian maturity, including Christlikeness, obedience, and commitment. We will explore the process of growth, the importance of spiritual discipline, and the challenges that we face as believers.

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." (2 Corinthians 3:18).

"Through this book, we will discover the signs of a mature Christian, including love for others, forgiveness, hope, and joy. We will also explore practical ways to apply these principles in our daily lives, with examples and a call to action.

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18)

"I invite you to embark on this journey with us, as we seek to understand and live in Christian maturity. May this book inspire and equip you to become more like Christ, and may you be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
