According to the duo in a signed statement dated 20th February, 2026, and released on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, alleged that their names were unjustly used in the unholy publication without their knowledge and consent by a faceless publisher named Francis Taylor on NDMExclusive "to spread that false narrative just to gain traction".
Signed:

Mr. Henry Suoware
They further claimed that the defamed Dcn. Tekedor and others mentioned in the said publication are personalities "with proven track record of honesty, integrity and accountability" and as such could not have engaged in the alleged acts as published.
The duo therefore called on the publisher of Niger Delta Mirror, NDM, News to pull down the said publication and tender an apology to them.
