ENTERTAINMENT: Creek Boy Tenten to Host 'Niger Delta Got Talents', Calls for Registration, Sponsorship

Justice Tenna Ogbaburu, a Gbaramatu-born rising comedian, known popularly as Creek Boy Tenten, is set to host a talent hunt programme tagged 'Niger Delta Got Talents' to harness and promote raw talents in the entertainment industry that are from the oil-rich region of Nigeria.

The talent hunt programme, aimed at discovering talented artists (musicians), comedians and dancers, is set to kick-off from Monday, June 2, 2025, and end on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

According to Creek Boy Tenten, the talent hunt programme is in three stages of Audition, Semi-finals, and Grand Finale with stipulated criteria for participation by interested parties.

To participate, interested persons must meet the criteria of being from the Niger Delta region, must be a minimum of 18 years of age, and must purchase a Registration Form at the price of ₦3,000k (Three Thousand Naira) in order to qualify for the first stage of auditioning.

The comedian further disclosed that interested persons can pick up their Registration Form from GbaramatuVoice office in Warri, Delta State, or call phone numbers 08125296668, 08025680355, and 07080999071.

Speaking on the purpose for the talent hunt programme, Creek Boy Tenten said, "The reason for doing this is because we find that it's kind of difficult for some people to showcase themselves in the sense that there is no platform and no opportunities exist for them to showcase their talent.

"We are therefore calling out everybody in the Niger Delta states. If you have the talent of singing, dancing, make people to laugh, then this talent hunt is for you. Some people really have talent. So that's why we want to do this and at the end of the day there will be cash prizes for the winners," he added.

According to the organiser, the three prizes up for grabs by winners are: ₦1.5m (1st Prize), ₦500k (2nd Prize) and ₦200k (3rd Prize) for each of the three listed categories of musicians, comedians and dancers.

Creek Boy Tenten also called for sponsors to key into the initiative which he further disclosed is to help fuel in the youths the passion to be independent and to become self-employed as well as drive job creation for wealth in the region.

"The Niger Delta Got Talents programme will help to create more awareness on entertainment as a thriving sector where talented youths can fulfill their lifetime dream if they are given the proper needed support and the available platforms to showcase their natural gifts. Hence we appeal to the well-to-do in the region to be ready to partner with us and to play their key role to transform the region through entertainment" he appealed.
