FEDERAL OIL & GAS HOSPITAL: Youth leader Eseimieghan applauds Aketekpe, Tonlagha, Tompolo, others

A youth leader in Benikrukru community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Eseimieghan Ebikena Felix, has applauded the Pere, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba; Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, High Chief Dr Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, among other leaders for their strategic leadership strides toward the growth of the kingdom, especially in the establishment of the Federal Oil and Gas Hospital in the community.
Comrade Eseimieghan commendation trails the recent passing by the Nigerian Senate of a bill for an Act to establish the Federal Oil and Gas Hospital in Benikrukru.
Recall that the report for the bill to establish the Federal Oil and Gas Hospital was earlier presented for consideration by the Senate Committee on Health (Secondary & Tertiary), chaired by Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo (PDP, Rivers West).
The bill, sponsored by Senator Onowakpo Joel Thomas (APC, Delta South), which was first read in the floor of the Senate on June 24, 2025, seeks to establish a specialized medical facility to provide comprehensive healthcare services for workers in the oil and gas industry, as well as for communities affected by oil exploration and production activities.
According to Onowakpo, “The bill seeks to establish a hospital that will ensure access to quality healthcare for workers in the oil and gas sector, as well as residents of communities impacted by exploration activities."
Reacting to the passage of the Bill, Comrade Eseimieghan, a former youth Public Relations Officer (PRO) in Benikrukru, said the hospital will bring to an end the issue of medical poverty in not only Benikrukru community, but Gbaramatu Kingdom and other riverine kingdoms in the area.
"The passage of the Bill for the establishment of the Federal Oil and Gas Hospital is good news for us all. Asides bringing the presence of the Federal Government closer to us, it will surely put an end, to an extent, to the lack of medical presence in the community," he said.
Comrade Eseimieghan, who hails from the Gbajoh and Oboro quarters in Benikrukru community, further noted that the development has once again revealed the important roles that the leadership in the kingdom have demonstrated which is what

"I sincerely thank them for their words of influence; for their energy, dedication, towards the successful passing of the Act establishing the Federal Oil and Gas Hospital in Benikrukru, as well as other developmental projects to Benikrukru community and Gbaramatu at large.
