The death has been announced of Late Mrs. Augustina Selegha nee Esemiegha, a native of Benikrukru and Opuede communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, and will be laid to rest in her hometown, Benikrukru, on Friday, May 9, 2025.

This is contained in a statement released by the families and that was signed by Mr. Jolly Selegha for the children and by Elder Raphael Selegha for the family.

According to the funeral arrangement, the body of the Late Mrs. Augustina will at 7:00am leave the Warri Central Hospital Mortuary in a motorcade to the Miller Waterfront near NPA, and then onwards to her hometown, Benikrukru community for a funeral rite on Friday, May 9.

The Late Augustina hails paternally from the families of Late Esemiegha Reuben of Gbazor Idumu in Benikrukru community, and maternally from Late Iyawarelagha Akpasibowei of Ode Idumu in Opuede community, 

Until her death she was married to Mr. Jacob Selegha from the families of Late Selegha Akoto of Ugeh Idumu in Kokodiagbene community and Late Moziri Orubu of Ibime Idumu in Opuede community, all in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

The Late Mrs. Augustina who passed away at the age of 61 years on December 16, 2024, is survived by seven children and grandchildren.

The children are Selegha Jolly, Apuma Batou, Apuma Layefa, Apuma Ebike, Selegha Eddy, Apuma Ogoname, and Selegha Denyefa; while the grandchildren are Juanita Smart Praise, Jaden Smart Praise, Jhawill Selegha Jolly, Ovakpo Ogheneochuko, Ovakpo Ogheneoruno, Ovakpo Oghenefegiro, and Egware Emmanuel Mitchell.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace in the Bosom of the Lord until the Day of Resurrection, Amen.
