GBARAMATU: Bobo leads new exco as Igoba community screens incoming leadership
Chief (Hon.) Friday Bobo, the Ebi-Ibananawei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, has emerged the incoming Executive Chairman of Igoba Federated Community in the riverine kingdom situated in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Chief Bobo, a former councillor, and other executive leaders selected by stakeholders of the community emerged from a screening exercise that held in the Igoba Federated Community Town Hall on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Among other members of the newly-screened incoming executive leaders and their positions are Mr. Wilson Ayeibo (Vice Chairman), Mr. Clement Ejoh (Secretary), Mr. Epere Ebitorofa (Public Relations Officer), Mr. Ebimiewei Matthew Tamaratuemi (Financial Secretary), and Mr. Bright Avene Dude (Treasurer).
The screening exercise was witnessed by the Amakosuwei of Igoba Federated Community, Pa. Samson Etete Agbasa, and the Amadiwei of Igoba Federated Community, Chief Patrick Agbasa.
The screening exercise, which was conducted in an orderly and peaceful manner, was described by the community stakeholders in attendance as transparent and that decisions were taken unanimously in the interest of the ancient community.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Bobo thanked stakeholders of the community for their collective decision, and for finding him and other executive members qualified to lead the people of Igoba as its executives.
On behalf of his elected executives, the former Councillor pledged to give his best in service to the community, just as he sought for collaboration with fellow exco members and other stakeholders in the community, to take the creek community to the zenith.
The newly-screened exco members will be officially inaugurated and sworn into office on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the community, to take over from the Apst. Teibowei Gift Preye-led executive council.
