GBARAMATU: NAGS to hold 7th Mega Elective Convention, invites stakeholders

The umbrella body of students in the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), under the leadership of Comrade Douye Simon, is set to host its 7th Mega Elective Convention.

This is contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chairman and the Public Relations Officer of the Convention Planning Committee (CPC), Comr. Ubebe B. Kester Denyefa and Comr. Douglas Obey Maxwell, respectively.

The Convention, which has as its theme; "Culture and Identity: Preserving the Heritage, Values, and Legacy of Our People," will hold from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Part of the statement reads, "The National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS) most graciously invites the general public to an extraordinary convergence of culture, intellect, and progressive leadership: THE 7TH MEGA ELECTIVE CONVENTION.

"This distinguished convention stands as a profound celebration of our collective heritage and an intentional platform for shaping the future of Gbaramatu through unity, vision, and purposeful engagement."

According to the CPC, students should "Anticipate a truly enriching experience, featuring: thought-provoking keynote addresses, exquisite cultural exhibitions and traditional displays, a transparent and credible leadership transition, and a strategic networking and youth empowerment engagements."

The Convention Planning Committee extend its invitation to all students and stakeholders in the kingdom.

"Join us as we honour the richness of our past, reaffirm the strength of our identity, and chart a bold, transformative path forward for generations yet unborn. Your esteemed presence will undoubtedly lend distinction and grandeur to this landmark occasion," the CPC added.
