On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, history was made in the oil-rich Benikrukru community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom on the special occasion of the handover ceremony by the Comrade Joel Amarede Tonjoh-led Executive Council and the inauguration ceremony of the newly selected Executive Council led by my humble self, Pastor Blessing Tortor, to pilot the affairs of our great community.

On behalf of my other exco members in Council, I hereby use this medium to thank the Almighty God for His gift of life upon everyone in attendance, for the Lord making such a day possible, and for the successes recorded during the handover and inauguration ceremonies, and most especially the safe arrival and departure of guests that were in attendance.

Secondly, I humbly salute our Traditional Father, His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, for his massive support, prayers and sacrifices that have ushered in peace and progress to not only Benikrukru, but the entire kingdom at large. I also salute the prestigious members of Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs led by the Bolowei, High Chief (Dr.) Wellington O. Okirika CON (JP); the Fiyewei, High Chief Amb. (Dr.) Godspower Gbenekama (JP); the Tonwei, High Chief (Dr.) Nelson Ogelegbanwei (JP); the Uroupawei, High Chief Wellington Bobo (JP), among several others.

Thirdly, I thank all of the numerous guests who came from across the kingdom and the State at large to witness the transition and to celebrate progress with us. My indepth gratitude goes to the Chairman of the occasion, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi FNSE, the MD, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited; Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly; and other guests for their support and honour to us.  

Fourthly, I humbly recognise our able leader and excellent philanthropist, Mr. Matthew and Dcns. (Mrs.) Esther Tonlagha, for the strategic roles they play in advancing Benikrukru community infrastructure- and otherwise. We are so proud to have such a visionary benefactor as you that have not only redefined leadership, but have also reshaped the direction of the development of our dear community.

Fiftly, I thank the Comrade Joel Amarede Tonjoh-led outgone executive council for building solidly on the foundation of other predecessors, for the laudable achievements recorded during their tenure, and for the peaceful transition process that culminated in the historic inauguration ceremony. May God bless you all for your sacrifices and contributions to the growth of community.

Lastly, I appreciate all sons and daughters of Benikrukru community across the following quarters of Oboro, Gbazor, and Nehi-Bralabor Quarters, for the love, unity and commitment shown in uplifting our dear community as well as fostering peace and oneness. To every personality not mentioned above, but who made significant contributions to the success of the handover and inauguration ceremony, I want you all to know that your efforts are also highly appreciated.

May the Almighty God bless every one of you and grant us (the exco) the grace as well as divine blessings to do greater exploits during our tenure in office through Jesus' Christ our Lord, Amen.
