INIKOROGHA: Capt. Ubebe resumes leadership, reaffirms commitment to service
The Executive Chairman of Inikorogha Federated Community, Capt. William Ubebe, has assumed leadership of the riverine community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, according to an elder and opinion leader, Chief Isaac Pudie.
According to Chief Pudie, the recent development follows deliberation by stakeholders of the community after which the previous embargo of suspension on the chairman was lifted on Monday, December 1, 2025.
It would be recalled that the community's previous decision to suspend the chairman was adopted on July 7, 2025, and the duration of the suspension was "indefinite".
With this latest development, the interim acting chairman of the community, Comrade Ejoh Ebullient Ebisinde, will now revert back to his elected position as the Vice Chairman.
Chief Pudie, who disclosed the development to PENGlobal, stated that the decision was unanimous after painstakingly reviewing the previous of suspension and for the general public to be in the know on the current position.
"We hereby inform the general public that the suspension placed on the elected Chairman, Capt. William Ubebe, has been reviewed and in one accord has been lifted by stakeholders of the community.
"With this action, Capt. Ubebe is now the Chairman of the community and the general public is free to transact business or discuss any issue in relation to Inikorogha Federated Community," he added.
In his response, Capt. Ubebe expressed his appreciation to stakeholders of the community for their understanding and for amicably resolving the issues in unity as one big family.
He reaffirmed his commitment as Chairman to give his best to the development and growth of Inikorogha Federated Community and to always put the interest of the community foremost.
