LATE MAMA AMUWO EREBU OBODE: At 100 You Have Lived, But We Desire More — An Appreciation From The Family

We, the families of Emotimide Okoro of Aruku Idumu of Azama Town, and Okri/Ogbointu Idumu of Okerenkoko Town; and Gege Zapu of Bralabor Idumu, Benikrukru Town, all in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA of Delta State, have successful laid to rest our beloved departed daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. Amuwo Erebu Obode Nee Emotimide, to rest in Azama Town, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
We therefore cease this moment to thank the Almighty God, who has called our mother home at the age of 100 years, for giving us a fair weather and offered His protection over our numerous guests during and after the funeral rites.
We also appreciate every one who made out time to honour our departed loving mother with their presence during the vigil at Opuedebubor Town and at Azama Town where she was laid to rest.
We also thank those who made financial contributions to support the family to give our departed mother a befitting burial and to attend to other needs. Your support as well as your prayers are duly appreciated beyond words could express.
While we celebrate her attaining 100 years and the positive impacts she made during her lifetime, we nonetheless desire she is still here with us to continue to play her roles as a mother, counsellor and peacemaker. No doubt, the vacuum caused by her sudden exit cannot be filled, however, her positive actions have continued to inspire us to do better and to make a difference in life.
Mama, we will forever miss you. Though you are not here with us, we still carry you in our hearts. May her golden soul continues to rest peacefully in the Bosom of the Almighty God, Amen.
