LEADERSHIP: Ojogun to lead Kenyagbene's newly-emerged exco, for swearing-in May 26

The oil-rich riverine Kenyangbene community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has unveiled its newly-emerged executive council led by Mr. Thankgod Ojogun that will pilot its affairs for the next three years.

The incoming exco members were unveiled to stakeholders and screened in the community town hall on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Other members of the incoming exco are Gift Tonjoh as Vice Chairman, Yirimine Samuel Saniyo as Secretary, Pere John as Public Relations Officer (P.R.O), Mrs Vivian Kingsley as Treasurer, Mrs Gloria Wariyai as Assistant Secretary.

Others are Douglas Emmanuel as Assistant P.R.O, Kokobaikime Eferusuoa as Financial Secretary, Oluwafemi Nicholas as Social Secretary, Benjamin Ukpekpere as Internal Auditor, Mrs Caro Ebitimi as Ex Official, and Mrs Comfort Lafam as Chief Whip.

The incoming exco who were all successfully screened will be sworn-in and inaugurated into office on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the community. 

The leadership of Comrade Ojogun and his exco members will take over from the Deacon Joseph Tonlagha-led exco that has been piloting the community affairs for the past three years.

Reacting to his emergence as incoming chairman, Comrade Ojogun thanked the elders, women, and youths of the community for the confidence reposed in him and other members of the newly-emerged exco.
