NDC PRIMARY: Dede tasks party faithfuls in Delta South to support Binaebi

A youth leader and former president of the Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Dede Roland, has called on party faithfuls of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as well as all stakeholders in Delta South to give their massive support to Chief Adowei Binaebi, ahead of the party's primaries.

Chief Adowei, who hails from Sokebolou community in Ogulagha Kingdom, is aspiring to represent the people of Delta South senatorial district in the National Assembly on the platform of the NDC, come the 2027 general elections.

In a statement officially released and signed by Comr. Dede on Thursday, May 28, 2026, the youth leader stated that Chief Binaebi is a candidate to be trusted to represent the district especially as a leader with capacity and one who understands the needs of the grassroots.

He therefore called on all Delta South NDC party members to go to their various local government headquarters to exercise their rights and franchise to cast their votes for Chief Binaebi.

He said, "The time has come for all stakeholders in the Delta South district to exercise their rights to vote for Chief Binaebi as the most qualified NDC candidate to fly the party's flag in the 2027 general elections.

"Chief Binaebi is a grassroots mobiliser who is more familiar with the challenges facing the district, and if given the opportunity to fly the party's flag, will prioritize infrastructure development, youth empowerment, environmental justice, and economic inclusion across the diverse communities of Delta South.

"I am therefore appealing to the Isokos, Ijaws, Itsekiris, and the Urhobos among other stakeholders in Delta South to rally behind and support the NDC aspirant, Chief Binaebi, to represent the party as its candidate for good governance," he appealed.

Chief Binaebi, who is the Adudukuro of Ogbe-Ijoh-Warri Kingdom in Warri South-West council area, was a former chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and of recent, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The aspirant is well-known for his philanthropic efforts, financial empowerment programmes for women and youths, and advocacy for host community rights.
