The Chairman, Ijaw National Congress (INC) Western Zone encompassing Delta, Edo and Ondo states, Barrister Priye Noel Kuete, has announced the passing of his mother in-law, Mrs. Mariel Idhiarhi (Nee Ikuenogbon).

This is contained in a statement issued by the INC Western Zone Chairman on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

"I just received the news of the death of my mother-in-law, Mrs Mariel Idhiarhi(Nee Ikuenogbon).

"She died at the ripe age of ninety eight (98) after a brief illness in Arogbo Town, Ese-Odo LGA, Ondo State," the statement reads.

Kuete further said that more details and date of burial will be communicated after meetings are held by the family and a consensus has been reached.

Barr. Kuete, who chairs the INC Western Zone, was recently inaugurated on Thursday, October 16, 2025, to lead other members of the exco.
