OGULAGHA: Pondi endorses OKYC 2026 Conference, calls for support
The Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) 2026 Conference has received a major boost as the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, has given his endorsement to the programme that is scheduled to hold from Friday 23 to Saturday 24, January 2026.
This is contained in a statement released by the organisers of the Conference led by the OKYC President, Comrade Roland Dede, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
The Conference themed "Entrepreneurship and Technological Advancement" will hold in Ogulagha Community Town Hall in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Hon. Pondi during his endorsement of the Conference noted that the programme is a welcome development as it will help the youths to tap into their hidden potentials and spur in them the zeal for self-empowerment through self-employment.
He further noted that the AI industry is becoming the next oil industry that is projected to create more jobs and wealth for the teeming number of unemployed youths who must be guided on the positive ways to engage with modern tech innovative tools.
Hon. Pondi called on other stakeholders to support the programme which has a current and futuristic benefits for not only the youths, but the advancement of the kingdom at large.
According to Comrade Dede, the OKYC 2026 Conference is aimed at creating more awareness in the youths on latest technological tools and how they can be commercialised for the advancement of the community and kingdom development.
