OKYC 2026: Agbonu gives blessings as Ogulagha Youths set for 2-day conference

The Ebenanaowei of the ancient Ogulagha Kingdom in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Elder Capt. King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan (JP) Ph.D, Agbonu, Torububou 1, has given his royal blessings to the Comrade Roland Dede-led Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) 2026 Conference.

The 2-day conference which has as its theme, "Entrepreneurship and Technological Advancement", will kick off on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Ogulagha Community Town Hall and will close on Saturday 24, January 2026.

The Conference is aimed at creating awareness in the youths on latest technological tools and how they can be commercialised for wealth creation as well as for the advancement of the community and kingdom development.

The Conference will feature resource persons that will give professional lectures on the technological and on the entrepreneurship aspect of the theme to help create more awareness on the latest tech tools and opportunities they offer for self- and kingdom advancement.

Among other high profile stakeholders that have endorsed the programme include the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi; the Chairman of Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, and Founder of the Shedrack Agediga Foundation (SAF), Amb. (Dr.) Shedrack Agediga; the General Manager, Operations, TSSNL, Chief Godfrey Tare Pondi.

Others are the Manager, Community Relations, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), Pastor Akpos Akposafagha Seimode; the Technical Manager, TSSNL, Engineer Roland Isereke; and the Chief Executive Officer of Veekites Global Services, Victor Isereke, Ph.D.

The OKYC President called on youths in the kingdom to not miss the golden opportunity the Conference offers them as it will aid them to build capacity in themselves and expose them to current trends in the technological sector.
