OKYC: 4 Beneficiaries to go Home with N2m as Entrepreneurship, Tech. Advancement Conference kicks off

The Comrade Roland Dede-led Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, has announced a prize money of N2 million to be awarded to four beneficiaries that will emerge from the OKYC 2026 Conference.

The Conference which has as its theme, "Entrepreneurship and Technological Advancement", will hold in the Ogulagha Community Town Hall from Friday 23 to Saturday 24, January 2026.

The Conference, according to Comrade Dede, is aimed at creating awareness in the youths on latest technological tools and how they can be commercialised for wealth creation as well as for the advancement of the community and kingdom development.

Speaking on the prizes to be won, the OKYC President said the prize money is to encourage participants in attendance to put in their best during the Conference and as a way of the Council also demonstrating its readiness to empower youths in the kingdom.

"The best two performing participants on Entrepreneurship and the best two on Technology Advancement will be awarded Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000k) each, totalling Two Million Naira (N2million).

"We want to encourage our youths and let them know that their growth and development is our priority, hence this Conference which we believe will move our youths grom being dependent to the level of independence," he added.

The youth president thanked stakeholders in the kingdom for their massive support of the Conference and charged the youths to take advantage of the opportunities it presents them.
