Expressing her delight in two of her children being beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) scholarship scheme, Mrs. Gbelade Timi Oluba, has sent her gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support of the scheme which she said has taken away financial pressure from most parents.

Mrs. Oluba, who hails from Okerenkoko Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, also thanked High Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, and the Administrator of the PAP, High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, for working tirelessly to ensure that the PAP is a success.

In a WhatsApp audio message sent to PENGlobal, Mrs. Oluba passionately acknowledged the vital role that the amnesty scholarship is playing by assisting a lot of parents in affording tertiary education which in recent times she said has become "very expensive".

Mrs. Oluba, who said two of her children are currently studying their Masters abroad, commended Tinubu for expanding the scheme to create room to accommodate more students to benefit from the PAP's scholarship at home and abroad, stressing that the PAP is one of the best initiatives to happen in the Niger Delta.

"I want to sincerely thank President Bola Tinubu for supporting the Amnesty Programme which has been very helpful to us parents, especially at a time as this where education is becoming quite expensive for the average Nigerian.

"I must confess that the PAP scholarship is one of the best plans of the federal government that is directly impacting positively those at the grassroots level.

"I also thank our leader, Tompolo, for his sacrifices and commitment to ensure that our children have access to quality education through the Amnesty Programme and for his engagement of the youths that is contributing to the peace in the region.

"To the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Otuaro, may the Almighty God bless you for your sincerity, dedication, focus, and vision in running the affairs of the PAP and creating opportunities for our children," she prayed.
