PEPE-AMA: Ejoh-led exco expresses delight over road project, thanks stakeholders

The Hon. Christopher Ejoh-led Pepeama Federated Community executive council in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, has expressed delight over the ongoing Okerenkoko-Pepeama-Kokodiagbene Road project in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, noting that the development will enhance communication and boost commerce among the affected communities, and beyond.

In an official statement released by the newly inaugurated Pepeama Federated Community exco on Tuesday (June 23, 2026), the executives lauded the ongoing infrastructural development championed by the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration to boost connectivity in riverine communities.

The statement reads, "The good people of Pepeama Federated Community are delighted with the latest ongoing development of the link roads connecting our community with other neighbouring communities, a project when completed will reduce cost of transportation, enhance relationships, improve living standard, and boost local businesses.

"We therefore welcome this development with open hearts and look forward to its timely completion, as we are eager to experience the new lease of life it will bring to our people," it added.

Hon. Ejoh also used the medium to thank the Pere of the kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba; High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo; the Delta State government among several other stakeholders for the project, when completed, will link Okerenkoko, Pepeama, and Kokodiagbene communities.

"We are grateful to our Royal Father, His Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba; and the Ebidouwei of Izon Nation, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, for their many sacrifices and commitment to peace and development of the kingdom at large.

"In the same vein, we are grateful to the Delta State government led by the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and our dear brother, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, for this laudable Okerenkoko-Pepeama-Kokodiagbene Road project," he said.

The exco who were inaugurated into office on Thursday, June 11, 2026, offered their appreciation to the internal stakeholders of the community comprising elders, chiefs, women and youths for their support during the swearing-in ceremony, and called for such positive synergy going forward.

They also lauded the positive contributions and peaceful conduct of Pepe-ama women and youths in the recent protest concerning the demand for the implementation of the Warri Federal Constituency ward delineation report by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

"We salute all stakeholders of Pepe-ama Federated Community for the massive support during our inauguration, and we thank our mothers, sisters, and the youths for the peaceful conduct in the agitation concerning the ward delineation report implementation in Warri Federal Constituency of recent," the Chairman added.
