Gbaramatu-born youth leader, Dr. Jackson Timiyan, is set to host a Thanksgiving service over his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) academic achievement, scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Dr. Timiyan, who was awarded a Ph.D on Political Science (International Relations) from the prestigious Delta State University, Abraka, sometime in October 2025, will also hold, alongside the Thanksgiving, a Memorial Lecture in honour of his beloved late mother, Mrs Akasa-ere Timiyan (Nee Okpeke).

According to the youth leader in an invitation notice made available to PENGlobal, the dual event will hold at the Life Church of God Ministry,  Plot 4/6 Uto Street by Polokor Bridge, Okere Ugborikoko Road, Warri, Delta State, at 10:00am Prompt.

Dr. Jackson further hinted that the topic of the Memorial Lecture honouring his late mother's memory is, "The Cruelty of War and the Necessity for Peace: A Trajectory of the Effects of the Warri Crisis".

"I am using this medium to kindly invite families, friends, and the general public to these events," Dr. Timiyan said.

"So, please, kindly join me to celebrate God's grace of elevation and to honour the memory of my beloved mother. God bless you all as you come," he added.
