A Niger Delta activist, Comrade Tonfawei Ebibode alias Oyile, has labeled former ex-agitators that are calling for the decentralization of the pipeline surveillance contract currently handled by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) as "betrayers and ingrates", especially the likes of Chief Bibopere Ajube alias 'General Shoot-at-Sight', Ebikabowei Victor-Ben alias 'Boyloaf', and Gbaboyor Jude.

Tonfawei's said his reaction follows alleged comments made by the ex-agitators who are against the current surveillance structure put in place by the federal government despite the positive impacts it has brought the economy in terms of increased oil output and as a stabilising force for peace in the volatile region.

He accused the likes of General Shoot-at-Sight, Boyloaf, Gbaboyor as betrayers, who, by their actions, are biting the hand of Tompolo that fed them, alleging that their actions are fueled by greed.

"Their problem is power and greed," said Tonfawei in reference to the ex-agitators, and added, "and one thing I would like them to understand here is that they should not forget the hand that helped them to grow up to this stage they are today.

"If not for the benevolent heart of our leader Tompolo, some of them could have still been in the forest piling timbers and some of them would have still being doing sea pirates in their areas. But because of the good deed of our leader, Tompolo, instead of him to give them stone to bite, he taught them how to catch fish.

"Now, today, they could open their mouths to talk about sharing formula of the job which Tantita is doing very well in executing. I believe some of them in their territories don't even have a cup of oil, neither do pipeline passes through their corridor or their forest," he added.

The activist while throwing his weight behind TSSNL, noted that Tantita, chaired by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, has not only restored peace in the region through the massive engagement of the youths, but has also successfully eliminated oil theft and pollution.

He therefore called on the ex-agitators to desist from their ungrateful attitude, and warned that their attempts to pull down Tompolo will crumble like a pack of cards.
