WARD DELINEATION: Gbelade Table Water CEO commends women on peaceful agitation, calls for quality rep

The Chief Executive Officer of Gbelade Table Water, Mrs. Gbelade Timi Oluba, has commended stakeholders of Warri Federal Constituency in Delta State, especially women that mobilised as protesters to flow stations across the Constituency to press home the demands of the Ijaws and the Urhobos for the implementation of the fresh wards delineation report by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The CEO of Gbelade Table Water gave the commendation late Wednesday, June 10, 2026, marking her birth anniversary, following the announcement by INEC.

Mrs. Gbelade, a native of Okerenkoko Federated Community, stated that the announcement of the implementation of the ward delineation report by INEC is the best gift she received on her birthday.

"Today I received the best birthday gift from fellow mothers, wives, and generally women, whose agitation by way of a peaceful protest, resulted in the implementation of the Warri Federal Constituency ward delineation report by INEC," she revealed.

She also thanked the INEC for finally listening to the call of the majority of stakeholders in the Constituency to do the needful by implementing the report timely ahead of the general elections next year.

"Finally INEC has done the needful and what is expected of them. I salute Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, the Chairman of INEC for resolving this issue during his tenure at the Commission," she added.

The supplier of table water for all kinds of ceremonies further called on the political class in the Constituency to utilise the new opportunity to provide effective representation of the people,  particularly in giving attention to women empowerment taking into consideration their sacrifices.

"Now that the INEC report has been implemented, those who are clamouring to represent the people in government should know that people made sacrifices to pave the way for this opportunity, and so they should place the interest of the people, mostly women empowerment, foremost.

"Lastly, I congratulate the elders and leaders of the indigenous Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities for their untiring efforts that has produced the expected results. May God bless you all in Jesus Christ name, Amen," she prayed

Recall that the INEC announced the conduct of political parties' primaries in what it referred to as "restored State Constituencies," including the Warri Federal Constituency, across the federation, from Tuesday, June 16 to Thursday, June 25, 2026.
