WARRI: 'Cease promoting discord between Ijaw and Itsekiri' — Cleric to youth activist Otuedon

A Niger Delta cleric, Prophetic Apostle Dr. Harrison Brobor (Ajahola) has cautioned the Itsekiri youth activist, Yemi Otuedon, to channel his energy towards promoting peaceful coexistence and unity between the Ijaw and the Itsekiri ethnic nationalities in Delta State, warning that "War brings devastation, loss, and suffering."
Prophetic Apst. Brobor made the plea in an open letter titled, 'My Heartfelt And Sincere Message for Yemi Otuedon' and that was made available to the media on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
According to the Prophetic Apostle, Otuedon, who he noted is a beneficiary of Tantita Security Services Limited, should "prioritize integrity and gratitude" as well as embrace constructive reasoning rather than "propagate harmful narratives".
He cautioned the youth activist to be wary of the negative consequences of conflicts and urged him to instead focus on "building bridges, not walls" for the sake of impoverished communities in the creeks.
The letter, signed by the cleric, reads in part:
"Dear Yemi Otuedon, I'm reaching out with a plea to cease promoting discord between the Ijaw and Itsekiri communities. War brings devastation, loss, and suffering. It's crucial to understand the gravity of conflict and its impact on innocent lives.
"Consider redirecting your energy towards more constructive pursuits, especially given your association with Tantita Security Services Limited. Their efforts have benefited Niger Delta communities in safeguarding pipelines, lives, and properties. It's puzzling to see you propagate harmful narratives despite these benefits.
"As someone who benefits from their operations, prioritize integrity and gratitude. Let's work towards building bridges, not walls, and foster understanding, respect, and cooperation between our communities. Reconsider your stance and prioritize peace, unity, and the well-being of our communities," the Prophetic Apostle wrote.
