The Ijaw Ministers of Warri Federal Constituency in Delta State have concluded plans to embark on a spiritual outreach programme across the five Ijaw kingdoms of Diebiri, Egbema, Gbaramatu, Isaba, and Ogbe-Ijoh within the three local government areas of Warri South, Warri South-West, and Warri North that make up the constituency, with a focus on thanksgiving to God and fervent prayers for sustained peace, unity, and divine intervention in the land.

The outreach was disclosed during the ministers' meeting, presided over by the Coordinator of the body, Archbishop Godwyns Soroaye, JP, and Secretary, Rev. Hon. Samuel Ako, at the Smu-Tuns Playground in Warri on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Speaking during the meeting, the leadership emphasized that the outreach, based on a divine revelation from a minister, Pst. Akori Ebibode, is intended to acknowledge God's faithfulness and to seek His continued guidance over the affairs of the Ijaw Nation, particularly the five kingdoms in the Constituency.

Archbishop Soroaye revealed that the membership of the body of ministers comprises of ministers from each of the five Ijaw kingdoms, who have been meeting to deliberate on the scope of the outreach.

According to the ministers, the prayer mission will provide an opportunity for churches, community leaders, and residents of the various kingdoms to gather in thanksgiving for God's blessings while committing the future of the Ijaw people into His hands.

The clerics noted that despite the numerous challenges confronting communities across the Niger Delta, there remain countless reasons to appreciate God for His protection, preservation, and the progress being witnessed in the region, especially the recently conducted and concluded delineation exercise in the Constituency by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The ministers stressed that the outreach would also serve as a platform to pray for lasting peace and unity among the kingdoms, godly leadership, youth development, security, economic prosperity, and continued harmony across the Warri Federal Constituency.

They also called on Christians, traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, women, and all sons and daughters of the five kingdoms to participate actively in the forthcoming prayer and thanksgiving sessions, expressing confidence that collective prayers would further strengthen the bond of unity and attract greater divine blessings upon the Ijaw Nation.

The ministers prayed for the peace of Delta State, the Niger Delta region, and Nigeria, and reaffirmed their commitment to using the altar of thanksgiving and prayer to promote spiritual revival, reconciliation, and sustainable development throughout the five Ijaw kingdoms.
