Niger Delta media organisation, The Congress Newspaper, along with its online television station, is set to mark its fourth anniversary celebration with awards honour to personalities with track records in the society at the TM Palace Hotel, Effurun, Delta State, on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

According to the Editor-in-Chief of the Congress Newspaper, Comr. Ozobo Austin, the anniversary, which has as its Theme: "Entrenching Accountability in Governance" will also feature a lecture titled: "Strengthening Institutions and Legislations to Prevent Graft in Governance".

The event will be chaired by Chief Sheriff Mulade, the National Coordinator of the Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ); with special guest of honours: Barr. Eric Omare, former IYC president; guest of honour, Mr. Mulu Anthony, MD/CEO Silver Continental Global Ventures Ltd, and keynote speaker, Enewaridideke Ekanpou, writer and publisher.

The Congress Newspaper also extends warm invitation to members of the public and esteemed personalities to attend the historic event, which it said, promises to be memorable, filled with entertainment, networking opportunities, and a look back at the newspaper's impactful contributions over the past four years.

“Our anniversary is not just a celebration of our achievements, but a celebration of Niger Delta story telling,” said Comr. Ozobo.
