CAPACITY BUILDING: Participants pledge commitment to securing national assets | appreciate Tantita, Top-Security

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) have expressed their commitment to give back 100 percent in securing national infrastructures in the country as a demonstration of their appreciation for the three-day impactful capacity building training programme facilitated by Top-Private Security Services Limited and sponsored by TSSNL.
The capacity building training programme which began on Tuesday at the Jubilee Retreat and Conference Center in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, closed on Thursday with award of certificates to 100 participants comprising of 28 NSCDC and 72 Tantita personnel drawn from Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Abia states.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Cassidy Eni Christian, a Pipeline Administrator and Coordinator of TSSNL, said during the closing ceremony, "We have so much to give back to our people out there now, and we assure you 100%, we're going to do it just the way you taught us, and more."
He also thanked the management of TSSNL led by Chief Engr. Kestin Pondi, Captain Waredi Enisuoh (ED Technical and Operations), Chief Godfrey Tare Pondi (GM Operations and Technical) "for this special three days capacity building training that was given to us. I must say this has taken us to another level. We have learned so much."
He applauded the facilitator of the training, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (rtd), the Vice Chairman of Top-Private Security Services Nigeria Limited, stressing that "The very first day we came here, you told us we're going to learn, unlearn, and relearn, and we actually did that," and then added, "And so, we look forward to more trainings from you, because we love the way you do it."
Also speaking, an NSCDC personnel, Tanko Peter, described the training exercise “as a moral booster to our own field of work, especially in the area of community development” and in building goodwill through creating relationships.
He however appealed to the organisers to increase the duration of other training programmes in order to enhance assimilation in learning on the part of participants.
Recall that the capacity building training is geared towards enhancing effective security protection and coordination over critical national infrastructure (pipeline) in the oil and gas sector, with participants engaged on Pipeline Protection Strategy, HSE & Emergency Procedures on Day 1; Maritime Security Intelligence and Basics of Anti-Sabotage Operations on Day 2; and on Civil-Military/Paramilitary Cooperation and Capstone Project on Day 3.
