The Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Gbaramatu Clan, in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, under the chairmanship of Comrade Zikurebai Oyinkuro Wazo, has fulfilled its pledge to award scholarship to qualified beneficiaries, including the Top 10 outstanding students, that participated in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This is contained in a public notice issued by the youth body on the completion of scholarship reward distribution for its Supplementary Educational Support Scheme, SESS, and that was signed by its Information Officer, Comrade Ebitimi E. Ari, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

The IYC commended the beneficiaries, whom it admitted the youth body is proud of, and promised that the initiative is a continuous one.

They also appreciated the list of sponsors that made the initiative a success and appealed for more of such collaboration towards building a bright future and investing in future generations.

The statement reads in part: "The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Gbaramatu Clan, is pleased to officially announce the successful completion of the scholarship reward distribution for beneficiaries under the second phase of the Supplementary Educational Support Scheme (SESS), following our earlier announcement dated June 25, 2025.

"In line with our commitment to educational empowerment, all qualified beneficiaries who participated in the 2025 JAMB examination have now received their designated scholarship rewards. This includes the outstanding Top 10 students of the 2025/2026 JAMB academic session.

"We remain proud of our student’s achievements, and this milestone serves as a testament to our ongoing dedication to building a brighter future through education.

"The IYC Gbaramatu Clan extends profound appreciation to all supporters and partners who made this initiative possible.

"Together, we will continue to uplift and invest in the next generation of Ijaw leaders," the IYC concluded.
