FUNERAL: Late Mrs Queen Oba Gelemo For Burial in Kokodiagbene August 21, Service of Songs Hold at Ojikpata August 18

The families of Irokrifagha Olukpa of Ebiabu Quarters, Kokodiagbene Town in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, and Zamagi Town in Egbema Kingdom, Edo State, have announced the funeral ceremony for their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Late Mrs. Queen Oba Gelemo (née Irokrifagha Olukpa).

The funeral arrangement is contained in a burial programme and was signed on behalf of the family by Elder Mathew Olukpa, and on behalf of the children by Thursday Gelemo.

According to the burial programme released by the family, activities in honour of the late matriarch will commence on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, with a Service of Songs scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at her residence in Ojikpata Layout, Jesus Is Lord Street, Orhuwhorun, Udu LGA of Delta State.

The final burial rites will continue on Friday, August 21, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., when her remains will depart Ame Specialist Hospital Mortuary, Okumagba Avenue, Warri, for Miller Waterfront Jetty, where the remains of Late Mrs. Gelemo will be conveyed to her hometown, Ebiabu Quarter, Kokodiagbene Town in Gbaramatu Kingdom, where she will be laid to rest.

The interment will be followed immediately by the entertainment of family members, friends, sympathisers and other guests who will gather to pay their last respects and celebrate the life and legacy of the deceased.

Late Mrs. Queen Oba Gelemo, fondly remembered as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, lived for 75 years and leaves behind family members and loved ones to cherish her memory.

The family invites relatives, friends, associates and well-wishers to join them as they bid their beloved matriarch a final farewell and commit her remains to Mother Earth.

May her gentle and golden soul continue to rest peacefully in the Bosom of the Lord Almighty.
