The riverine community of Tebujor Okpela-ama in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has inaugurated its newly-elected youth executive council led by Comrade Pere Micaiah Pamah to pilot the affairs of the youth body for a tenure of four years.

The inauguration ceremony of the youth exco held in the community and was witnessed by elders, women and youths in attendance on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Other members of the newly-inaugurated youth executives are Akpos Sibe (Vice President), Roland Mala (Secretary), Florence Ayefade Mala (Financial Secretary), Ebimaye Ayefade (Treasure), and Eddy Ikpidi (Public Relations Officer).

Members of the outgone youth executives are Victor Aboh (President), Abei Jethro (Secretary), Pere Micaiah Pamah (P.R.O), and Florence Ayefade Mala (Treasurer).

Speaking after the inauguration ceremony, a leader in Tebujor Okpele-ama, Chief Akin Mala, who is the Tebu-tarewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, counseled the newly elected youth exco to work in unity and to collaborate with the community excos to achieve the common goal of the community.

The respected leader also cautioned the newly-inaugurated exco to avoid sectionalism or to segregation among the youth body, but should be one indivisible body that carries the youths in the community along.

Earlier, the youth president, Comrade Pere, who spoke on behalf of the exco, thanked the community for the "great opportunity" to lead the body of youths.

He assured those who voted for him and those who did not of running an inclusive government, as well as to work in harmony with the community exco to make sure that Tebujor Okpele-ama moves forward.

Among other stakeholders in attendance are Chief Daniel Opkele, Chief Tare Oga, Chief William Tortor, Amb. Fred Igere, among other leaders and members of the community.

Recall that the Comrade Pere-led youth exco were elected after a peaceful election conducted by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Fidelis Agbunase, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
