INT'L DAY FOR TOLERANCE: N10m to be won in Africa 4 Peace Sports Festival as Fuludu emerges LOC Chairman

In a bid to foster tolerance among Deltans as part of marking this year's International Day for Tolerance on November 16, 2025, the Delta State Mini Football Association has announced the kickoff of the second edition of the Africa for Peace Sports Festival on November 15, with a prized sum of N10 million to be won along with other consolidation prizes
This was announced by the Initiator and Chairman of the Association, Comrade (Chief) Sheriff Mulade Ph.D, who is also the National Coordinator of the Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), at an unveiling ceremony on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Former Nigeria Super Eagle's International, Edema Fuludu, was also unveiled by Mulade as the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the second edition.
During the unveiling, Mulade, who is the Ibe-Serimowei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, said; "The event promises a diverse range of activities, including gym competition, scrabble, snooker, table tennis, and mini football," and added that "Chess and Fuss-football will be demonstration games, with winning prizes for participants."
Speaking further, he said, "The Mini football competition will have two categories: Under 25–45, and 46 and above, with an emphasis on adhering strictly to the rules of the game.
"With about Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000.00) up for grabs with consolidation prizes, the Africa for Peace Sports Festival is poised to be an unforgettable experience as registration is now open for all interested participants," he revealed.
He further explained that the sports festival will also "create an opportunity for the Nigeria Mini Football Association scouting delegation to identify, attract and recruit talented players into the national team to represent Nigeria in forthcoming international events."
In his response, Fuludu expressed his gratitude for the appointment and pledged to collaborate with the team to ensure the event's success.
