The remains of Late Chief (Madam) Aruagbagha Fanny Adurumokumo Ekpetipu, the Sukore-ere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, will be laid to rest on Friday, September 11, 2026, as family members, relatives, friends and well-wishers prepare to pay their final respects to the departed matriarch.

According to burial information made available to PENGlobal, ahead of the final funeral of Late Chief (Madam) Ekpetipu, a Service of Songs ceremony will hold in her honour at Ebiabu Idumu in Kokodiagbene Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

It was further disclosed that there will be free transportation via boats to and fro the venue at the King Couple's Jetty near NPA in Warri with departure time fixed for 10:00am prompt.

The final farewell ceremony for the Late Chief (Madam) Ekpetipu, who passed away at the age of 67 years, will begin on Friday by 10:00am with family members conveying her remains in a motorcade from the Safe Haven morgue at Okumagba Avenue to Miller Waterfront Jetty near NPA, Warri, and onwards to Ebiabu Idumu in Kokodiagbene.

The burial ceremony is expected to attract family members, community leaders, friends, associates and other sympathisers who will gather to honour her memory, celebrate her life and bid her a final farewell.

The programme will also feature musical performances, with Alfred Izon-Ibe popularly known as JKing and the Because of Love Crew, billed to provide music as part of activities marking the funeral ceremony.

As preparations intensify ahead of the September 8 and 11 burial, the family invites relatives, friends and well-wishers to join them in honouring the life and memory of their beloved mother and community leader.

The Late Chief (Madam) Aruagbagha Fanny Adurumokumo Ekpetipu hails from the family of Adurumokumo Ekpetipu Ebiabu of Ebiabu Quarters; the Okoromadu Family of Oboro Quarters; and the Idele Family of Okiri Quarters, Okerenkoko; all in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom.
