NCWS: National Council of Women Societies inaugurate Asedadu-led exco for Warri South-West Chapter
Mrs Asedadu Esther Tonfa alongside 14 other executive members have been inaugurated by the Delta State chapter of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) to preside over the affairs of the Council in the Warri South-West Local Government council area of the State.
The inauguration, presided over by Comrade Mrs. Margaret Joko Abugewa, the President of NCWS, Delta State branch, was attended by members drawn across the State at the Warri South-West LG Council Secretariat in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
Other members inaugurated alongside Asedadu are Mrs Mode Josephine (1st Vice President), Mrs Alice Christopher (2nd Vice President), Orugbo Eyitemi Catherine (3rd Vice President), Mrs Agbajor Jolomi Pajiah (Secretary).l, Mrs Moneyin Augustina (1st Assistant Secretary), Egbodemeku Margaret Omatseye (2nd Asst. Secretary).
Also inaugurated are Bawo Igban Omagbemi (Financial Secretary), Akpodubakaye Hope Bifugha (Treasurer), Wonghan Julie Preye (Public Relations Officer, P.R.O), Franca Misan (1st P.R.O), Kalaoru Juliet (Research Coordinator), and Ewule Omatsone (Public Announcement Coordinator) among others.

Delivering her acceptance speech, Mrs Asedadu thanked the Delta State NCWS President, Mrs Abugewa, for making the inauguration possible, and for the opportunities presented her and other exco members to serve the women Council.
She pledged to focus on people-oriented projects and programmes that will impact positively on stakeholders of Warri South-West, particularly on the women and youths.
She said, "The new executive will focus on project organized advocacy, programme for women and youths, as the need arise. We will not fail to put smiles in the face of our mothers and our youths starting from this year.
"We will also strengthen NCWS Warri South-West chapter by forming cooperative groups. We will contribute our quota to the state and our local government as directed by the State President. With her guidance, we hope to do more to make Warri South-West chapter first, among others," she added.
Among prominent personalities in attendance include the Vice Chairman of Warri South-West LG Council, Hon. Christi Omamofe; the NCWS Chairlady of Warri South-West, Timi Angela Oromoni Ojiemen; women leader Chief Vero Emmanuel Tangbowei JP.

The NCWS Nigeria is an organization that was established in 1958 and incorporated in 1965 as the umbrella organization of all non-political women organizations in Nigeria, with its headquarters at Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and branches spread across the 36 states in the Federation, and functional local government chapters in the 774 local government areas of Nigeria.
