SECURITY: Capacity building training will enhance Tantita, NSCDC personnel operations — Enisuoh

Captain Warredi Enisuoh, the Executive Director of Operations and Technical at the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), has charged participants of its sponsored capacity building training to give uppermost priority to the three-day programme aimed at enhancing the operations of the personnel of the security firm and those of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) towards effective security protection and coordination for critical national infrastructure in the oil and gas sector.
Capt. Enisuoh, who was represented by the Technical Manager of TSSNL, Roland Isereke, gave the admonition in a briefing during the opening ceremony of the Capacity Building Training that held at the Jubilee Retreat and Conference Center in Effurun, Delta State, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
The capacity building training, which was facilitated by Top-Private Security Services Limited, a private security firm, and sponsored by TSSNL, is scheduled to hold from Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to Thursday, August 21, 2025.
According to Top-Private Security Vice Executive Chairman, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (Rtd), who is also among the resource persons, stated that the participants, during the three-day training period, will be exposed to various training modules encompassing major areas of Pipeline Protection Strategy, Health Safety Environment and Emergency Procedures; Maritime Security, Intelligence and Basics of Anti-Sabotage Operations; and Civil-Military / Paramilitary Cooperation and Capstone Project; which are all essential to advance personnel operations.
Other resource persons include Mr. Paul Esegoro, David Ogbedu Esq., Cdr. Jeff Chello, Yomi Morokinyo, Eric Edafitite, Cdr. S.O. Ode (rtd), Emmanuel Ekpoto PhD, SBS Simon Iniwari, Coach James Igare, Brig. Gen. Olu Ajala PhD, Gen. Efe Dafioghor (rtd) among other training coordinators.
PENGlobal also learnt that the training was also instituted to create legal and technological awareness among participants arising from rising legal issues involving personnel of the security firm and the adoption of drone facilities to man aerial surveillance over key national oil assets.
On the areas of legality, Ogbedu Esq. who spoke on 'Oil Assets Surveillance vis-a-vis Legal Applications' as well as answered questions from participants, highlighted the need for personnel to be abreast with established laws in the course of their engagements inorder to reduce the incidence of legal disputes.
Earlier, in the area of technology, Capt. Enisuoh revealed that TSSNL has acquired drones that can stay airborne for 60 hours to provide additional security and guidance as well as ease the burdens of personnel in the course of their operations, but stressed on the need for personnel to know how to relate with the technology on board for more enhanced results.
The Executive Director of Operations and Technical, who recalled that at the beginning, the management were even sleeping on pipeline sites in order to get the job done, noted that Tantita started with the aim to end the problem of oil theft and to boost crude oil production, and that progress had been made, with the help of other security agencies.
He therefore thanked all personnel especially the various security agencies in collaboration with Tantita, when he said, "If not for you, I don't think we would have achieved it. From the management, I say a big thank you to everybody including the military and those that are not here; we can't forget the Army, we can't forget the Navy, and the NSCDC. You guys did a very good job collaborating with Tantita Security," he added.
The Tantita ED noted that the capacity building training is the second barge as the company had engaged in previous capacity building, and that participants should be open minded during the course of the training in order to improve on themselves and on the job.
The capacity building training programme ends on Thursday with a closing ceremony that will witness the official presentation of certificates to participants.
