TRANSITION TO GLORY: Late Snr. Boan. Daniel Yorokiri to be laid to rest March 27

The burial date for Late Snr. Boan. Daniel Yorokiri Ubebe, a native of Gbaramatu and Ogulagha Kingdom in Delta State, and from Letugbene in Bayelsa State, who passed away at the age of 72 years,  has been announced for Friday, March 27, 2026.

The announcement is contained in a statement disclosing the funeral arrangements, signed by Snr. Boan. Capt. James Ubebe (JP) and Mr. Preye Brakoru, for the family and for the children, respectively.

Part of the statement reads, "The Ubebe Family of Ikirentimi Quarters, Oporoza; Brakoru Quarters, New Jerusalem Zion, both in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA and Tububiri & Osele Quarters of Letugbene Community, Ekeremor LGA of Bayelsa State, and the Orubu Family of Opuede Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, and Sokebolou and Ogulagha Communities of Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu LGA of Delta State, hereby announce the funeral of their son, brother, nephew, uncle, father, grandfather and great grandfather."

According to the funeral arrangements, by 7am the body of the deceased will leave the General Hospital, NPA Warri, to his hometown, New Jerusalem Zion, via Miller Waterfront Jetty in Warri, on Friday, March 27.

Interment follows at 3:00pm after a lying in state and Christian funeral service at New Jerusalem Zion, to be followed by entertainment of guests.

At 9:00am on Sunday, March 29, 2026, a Thanksgiving Service will hold at the New Jerusalem Zion, Oporoza.

The Late Snr. Boan. Daniel Yorokiri Ubebe, at the time of his transition to glory on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, is survived by two children. May his Golden Soul rest in peace, Amen.
