In furtherance of his commitment to humanitarian service and improving the wellbeing of the less privileged, the Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Raphael Biu Foundation, Engr. Dr. Raphael Eneyi Biu, FNSE, has offset the medical bills of infants receiving treatment at the Warri Central Hospital in Warri, Delta State.

The philanthropic intervention took place during a courtesy visit by the Founder, accompanied by a BoT member of the Foundation, Sir. Gabriel Ekirikougha Ukuli, KSM, to the Warri Central Hospital on Monday, August 31, 2026.

During the humanitarian visit, Engr. Dr. Biu and his team visited the pre-term children ward, where they interacted with those attending to the infants and gained insight into some of the challenges confronting families whose babies were undergoing medical care.

Moved by the circumstances of the affected families, the Patani-born philanthropist offered to offset the outstanding medical bills of about seven infants under admission, bringing relief to their parents and guardians at a critical period in the lives of the newborns.

The intervention forms part of the philanthropic activities of the Raphael Biu Foundation, which is driven by a passion to positively impact lives, particularly those of vulnerable and less privileged persons in society.

For Engr. Dr. Biu, the gesture reflects the importance of giving back to society and extending a helping hand to people confronted by circumstances beyond their immediate financial capacity, especially where the health and survival of children are concerned.

Beneficiaries of the gesture, some of whom were surprised as they never anticipated such a godly offer, conveyed their gratitude to the Foundation's Founder and prayed for God's blessings and sustenance in his life.

Beyond his humanitarian engagements, Engr. Dr. Biu, who hails from Patani in Delta State, is a passionate engineer with extensive professional experience in the oil and gas sector. He is also registered with various professional organisations and has continued to combine his professional pursuits with interventions aimed at improving the lives of others.

The visit to Warri Central Hospital further demonstrates the Foundation's commitment to practical humanitarian interventions that directly address the needs of vulnerable members of society, while encouraging individuals and organisations with the capacity to support those in need.

Through the Raphael Biu Foundation, the Founder is expected to continue championing initiatives targeted at providing relief, hope and opportunities to the less privileged across communities in Delta State and beyond.
