WARRI NORTH: Mulade Commissions NDP Office in Koko, Takes Light of Hope Campaign to Ogbinbiri, Ogbudugbudu

As part of his official flag-off of the Community-to-Community and House-to-House Visitation campaign for Warri Federal Constituency, Chief Sheriff Mulade, PhD, on Thursday commissioned the National Democratic Party (NDP) office in Koko and visited Ogbinbiri and Ogbudugbudu communities in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State with his Light of Hope Transformation Agenda.

While addressing supporters at the commissioning, Dr. Mulade said the NDP Koko Ward chapter office was established to bring the party closer to the people and to serve as a channel of communication between him, the party, and the grassroots.

"We strongly believe that the 2027 general election is for a candidate with capacity and courage to speak for the people, and this office will serve as a chain of communication between us and the grassroots," he said.

He further explained that the office would facilitate quarterly and annual public engagement meetings, promote job creation for youths to be gainfully employed, and serve as a model to be replicated in other communities.

During his tour, Dr. Mulade was warmly received in Ogbinbiri community by Chief Bernard Sule, the Amaokosuwei of Ogbinbiri, alongside his council of chiefs, youths, and other members of the community, who expressed confidence in his political aspiration.

The visit was marked by cheers and colourful cultural displays by various dance groups, which thrilled supporters and added excitement to the campaign.

Dr. Mulade, who expressed trust in God and confidence in the masses, said his administration would mark the beginning of a new turnaround in Warri Federal Constituency.

He stressed that the "Light of Hope Transformation" cause is not just a political slogan but a social contract with accountability as its watchword, noting that every promise must be matched with action and no project would be left untouched.

In Ogbudugbudu community, Chief Tuesday Baidi, one of the council chiefs, lamented government negligence in addressing key infrastructural projects in the community, noting that they lacked good accessible roads.

Chief Baidi appealed for a link bridge between Ufunama community in Edo State and Ogbinbiri Community in Delta State to make both communities accessible by road.

He also decried the poor state of water supply in the community and urged Dr. Mulade to use his good office to attract a tertiary institution to Ogbudugbudu community if elected as Member, House of Representatives representing Warri Federal Constituency.
