Ahead of the Kokodiagbene Youth Development Movement (KYDM) general election, a youth leader and native of Agugu Quarters in Kokodiagbene Community, Comrade Tare Odogbo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of Assistant Secretary in the formidable youth body, pledging to promote accountability, transparency, and unity within the organisation.

Announcing his aspiration in a statement made available to newsmen, Odogbo said his decision was driven by his passion for youth development, community service, and the desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth and progress of youths in Kokodiagbene Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

He noted that the KYDM requires visionary and committed leadership capable of fostering trust, inclusiveness, and effective service delivery, stressing that his aspiration is anchored on the core values of accountability, transparency, and unity.

According to him, "If elected Assistant Secretary, I will work closely with other members of the executive council to ensure proper documentation of the affairs of the movement, promote open communication between the leadership and members, and uphold professionalism in record-keeping and administrative processes."

The aspirant also pledged to strengthen unity among youths across the various quarters of Kokodiagbene, encourage peaceful coexistence, and support programmes that would empower young people through leadership development, education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and active participation in community development initiatives.

Odogbo described the forthcoming KYDM election as an opportunity for members to reposition the youth body for greater achievements, urging delegates and stakeholders to support his aspiration in the interest of building a stronger and more united movement.

"I am offering myself to serve with humility, sincerity, dedication, and integrity. Together, we can build a youth movement that is transparent in its operations, accountable to its members, united in purpose, and committed to the sustainable development of Kokodiagbene Community," he said.

He appealed to delegates, community stakeholders, elders, women, and members of the Kokodiagbene Youth Development Movement to give him the mandate to serve as Assistant Secretary, assuring them of inclusive leadership and unwavering commitment to the collective aspirations of the youths and the overall development of the community.
