LATE MRS. FELICIA YERIMINI GOVERNOR: 'Heaven Has Gained An Angel' and other glowing Tributes
The remains of the late Mrs. Felicia Yerimini Jonathan Governor was laid to rest in her hometown, Azama Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, after a Christian funeral, on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Earlier, before being committed to Mother Earth, families and friends of the 55 year old deceased mother and grandmother, poured our glowing tributes that recalled virtuous qualities that made the late Mrs. Governor to stand out and that will endear her forever in their hearts and memories.
Below are a compilation of the tributes that, despite the comforting tone they carry, still bear much of the burden that comes with humanity's greatest enemy—death:

"My mother was more than a parent to me—she was my first teacher, my greatest supporter, and my constant source of love. Her strength, wisdom, and kindness shaped the person I am today. She faced every challenge with grace and every joy with gratitude. She taught me that love is not just words but actions. The sacrifices she made without ever seeking recognition. Her laughter brightened our darkest days and her faith carried our family through every storm. Though she may no longer be here with me in person, her spirit lives on in my heart and in everything she taught me. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love—a legacy I will carry proudly for the rest of my life. Rest in peace, dear mother. Your love remains my guiding light." — TOJU ITSERO
"My mother is the heartbeat of my life—the gentle strength behind every step. Her love has been my shelter in the storms and my light through the darkest nights. She taught me the meaning of patience, sacrifice, and unconditional love without ever needing to say much—her actions spoke louder than words ever could. Through her hands, I learned hard work. Through her smile, I learned hope. Through her faith, I learned courage. No matter how tough life became, she never stopped believing, never stopped giving, never stopped loving. Today and always, I honour her—not just for what she has done, but for who she is: a woman of grace, wisdom, and endless compassion. Her legacy lives in me, and I am forever grateful to call her my mother." — WEYINMI ITSERO

"My mom is my guiding light, my strength, and my greatest blessing. Her love is unconditional, always there to support me through life's challenges and joys. Her kindness, patience, and wisdom inspire me every day. I am grateful for her sacrifices, her nurturing presence, and the endless love she gives. Thank you, mom, for being my hero and my heart. You mean the world to me." — JOLOMI ISERO
"Today, we gather to celebrate the life of a truly special woman, my mom. She was an epitome of beauty, kindness, compassion, and love. Her sweet and cheerful soul touched the lives of everyone she met, whether family or stranger. She had a heart of gold, always putting others before herself and caring for those in need of her help. Her generosity and hospitality knew no bounds, welcoming everyone with open arms and a warm smile. She was a mother to many, and her love and guidance will be deeply missed. Memories flood my mind—memories of laughter, of tears, of joy, and of love. I remember her comforting hugs, her listening ear, and her words of wisdom. She was my rock, my confidante, and my best friend. Your absence leaves a big hole in our lives, mom. The pain of losing you is overwhelming, but even in grief, we are grateful for the times we had with you. Your legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will live on through us, and we will strive to make you proud. Rest in peace, mom. May your memory be a blessing to us all, and may we continue to celebrate your life and legacy. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten." — SUCCESS GOVERNOR

"My aunty, grandma, as Jennifer fondly calls you. Words cannot express how deep your loss has hit me. You may not be the best of mother and daughter relationship, but you are the most selfless and caring person I know. The mother to all. I love you mom, Jacinta loves you. Rest well my aunty, grandma. Heaven has gained an angel." — MISAN ITSERU.
"To dearest mother-in-law, as I take a moment to reflect on the journey we have shared together, I am filled with gratitude for the love and support you have shown me since the day I became a part of your family. Forever in my heart, my sweet mother-in-law. Rest in peace." — TINA TOJU.

"With tears in our eyes, sorrow in our hearts, and void no one can feel, we can only remember the memories we have created with you. When you came into our group, we never thought you would be the energetic, lively, and fun woman that you turned out to be. There was never a moment where your age hindered you from either attracting meetings or making your presence known in parties. You danced when the need arise, encouraged when necessary, humbled yourself to authority, and loved with all your heart. Our Yellow Mama, as we fondly call you, your humility and love will never be forgotten, even as we cherish the memories we created together. Rest easy till we meet to part no more." — WARRI BEKE GROUP OF FRIENDS.
