LATE PA. KWEKWE-WEI ONIMIEMENE ODIBO: Our Profound Message of Gratitude to Supporters on Successful Funeral
With hearts filled with thanksgiving, we, the family of Onimiemene, are overwhelmed by the show of love to us and the honour accorded our departed father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Pa. Kwekwe-wei Onimiemene Odibo, the Amaokosuwei of Benikrukru Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, who departed the Earth at the age of 95, and was laid to eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2026.
It is on the above premise that we therefore find it imperative to acknowledge the supernatural, financial, moral, spiritual, and physical support we received before, during, and even after the funeral ceremony of our dear beloved father of blessed memory.
To the One in whose Bosom the soul of our beloved departed father now rests, we thank Him for the gift of long life and for the achievements of our ever loving father. We also appreciate the Almighty God for the smooth conduct and success of the burial, especially as no incident or accident was recorded. To Him alone be all the glory!
Our indepth gratitude goes to His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, for his prayers, counsels, and support to the family. May His Majesty continue to reign and dwell in good health, in wisdom, in strength, and in greatness!
Our profound gratitude also goes to the Ebidouwei of the Izon Nation, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, and to our dear son of inestimable value, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, the Chairman of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, for his extraordinary contributions in honour of the memory of our beloved departed father. There are no words to describe the magnitude of your support to us. May the Almighty God bless you both abundantly.
To the members of the Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs, including the Benikrukru Council of Chiefs led by Chief Paris Imoun and Chief Joseph Wuruyai, we are indebted to you all for honouring our father with your presence and for your contributions to the success of the funeral. Your words of consolation and praises accorded our father brought joy that helped wiped away our tears. May God protect and bless you all.
To the executive leadership of Benikrukru Community led by Pastor Blessing Tortor, we are grateful for your contributions to the success recorded at the burial. Also, we greet the elders of Benikrukru Community led by Most Snr. Apst. Dr. Johnson Bibogha, JP, for the positive roles played in ensuring the smooth success of the ceremony. Likewise, to the various leadership of the quarters making up Benikrukru Community, namely Capt. John Abase for Nehi-Bralabor, Elder David Eseimieghan for Gbajoh, and Chief Dickson Sindio-Apan for Oboro, we are grateful for honouring the memory of our loving father with your kind words of eulogy in commendation of his positive contributions. May the Almighty God honour you all beyond your expectations.
We use this medium to convey our heartfelt gratitude to Chief Jeffrey Ekankumor Ojogun, the Kurowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, and chairman of the burial planning committee, for his laudable role in looking after our departed father while alive, tending to his needs. You are indeed one of our father's golden sons. We also appreciate the roles you played toward the success of the burial. Your smooth coordination and cooperation are commendable. We thank you for the peaceful conduct and for your standing by us and delivering beyond expectations. God bless you and your team richly.
Lastly, we will not forget to also appreciate the Oluba family from Okerenkoko Federated Community, and every other persons that made significant contributions. We are also grateful for your presence, beyond what words could express. We want you all to know that your support is not taken for granted. May God elevate you beyond your expectations.
The shoes of our dear father, late Pa. Kwekwe-wei Onimiemene Odibo, is very big to wear, and the vacuum created by his departure to join his ancestors poses a challenge to us. It is our prayers that the Almighty God grant us the wisdom to sustain his legacies and to make him proud wherever that he presently is.
May his golden soul continue to rest peacefully until the great day of the awakening. Until then, God bless and protect us all in Jesus name, Amen!
Signed: The Onimiemene Family
