SERVICE OF SONGS: Benikrukru, Others Pay Glowing Tributes to Late TFZM Founder, Snr. Boan. Prt. Imeleye
The auditorium of Teme-Ama Foundation Zion Ministry (TFZM) was filled with worshippers and other sympathisers at the Service of Songs ceremony held in honour of the late Founder and Spiritual Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim church, Snr. Boan. Prt. Imeleye Wilson Omimi, popularly known as Oba Eli Aromina, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
The ceremony was attended by various ministers including the Founder and General Overseer of the Zion Land of Canaan Ministry International (Land of Milk and Honey), Archbishop (Prophet) Dr. Irawo Joseph; General Overseer of the Shammah Divine Zion Ministry International, Pastor (Mrs.) Laura Nemi Andafa-Thompson; spiritual leader and the Interdenominational Apostle of the Ama-Ebimo Zion, Snr. Apst. Dr. Mathias Zion Amaye (JP); and Prophet Amakiri Aloro (JP) of the Crown Church of Zion, among several others.
The Service of Songs ceremony, officiated by Snr. Boan. Solomon Eris, was marked with prayers, praise rendition, reading of Biblical lessons, presentation of biography of the late Founder of TFZM, sermons from ministers in attendance, among other activities.
Meanwhile, glowing tributes have poured in from the people of Benikrukru Community (hometown of the TFZM Founder), personalities and the family in honour of the spiritual leader.
For the people of Benikrukru Community, "He, (Snr. Boan. Prophet Wilson O. Imeleye) was a remarkable person who touched the lives of many; a role model and wonderful soul. Words can hardly provide comfort when faced with such a tremendous loss. However, we hope you find solace in knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many who cares. You will be deeply missed but fondly remembered," reads their tribute that was signed by Pst. Blessing Tortor (Chairman) and Comr. Kingsley Gbenewei (General Secretary).
"We will greatly miss you and your sterling qualities, whose positive impact, contributions, commitment and dedication to the welfare and development of the Imeleye family and the Benikrukru Community cannot be easily measured. However, our consolation is that you have returned to be with your Creator, God Almighty. You lived a fulfilled life and your various roles and contributions in life will have tremendous benefit to our family, church, community and Christianity in general," wrote Rev. (Dr.) Emmanuel Imeleye on behalf of the family.
"While our hearts ache with the weight of this loss, we find peace in knowing you have completed your race and are now resting in the arms of the Saviour you so deeply loved. You were more than just a pastor to us, you were a family, you were there in our seasons of joy and you were a comforting presence in our times of sorrow. Your words healed our brokenness, your prayers gave us courage and your gentle wisdom guided us through life's darkest valleys. Thank you for answering the call to lead. Rest on great hero," wrote Snr. Pst. Roland Ojogun, the Minister-in-Charge of Ogono-Ebijor Zion Ministry in Benikrukru.
For the Chairman of TFZM, Apst. Meshack Odu, "His life was a shining example of faith, humility, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to God's work. Through his teachings, prayers, and leadership, countless lives were transformed and drawn closer to Christ," he wrote
"You left an indelible footprint to inspire those you left behind. I, Prophet Sunny Bunakeye, and the entire Heritage Walls of Zion, will greatly miss you. You are a kind and good father, a dearly beloved friend, and prophet to all. We love you and miss you, but however, God loves you most. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. Farewell, sir," they wrote.
The late TFZM Founder, who transitioned to eternal glory at 79 years old, and is survived by three children, 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild, will be laid to rest in Benikrukru Community on Friday, June 19, 2026, after a Christian funeral service. May his golden soul continue to rest in the Bosom of the Creator.
